What makes me last all day? Eating healthy food! My Baby Bullet is perfect for making baby purees. But why not also use it to make a smoothie for myself and my baby that I can take on-the-go?

Elle is 9 months old, which means she is pretty much eating all sorts of food. We watched very closely to see if she had any reactions or allergies to certain foods, but it looks like we are in the clear. So, the experimentation continues! The other day I ordered fish and chips and let her try tiny bits of the fish. She loved it.

I noticed that when my husband and I our sipping on our smoothies in the morning, she looks like she wants a taste, too. So, off to the store we went to buy her a fun sippy cup with a straw. Since she is still young and not aware of her strength, I made sure this new cup was built to be thrown across the room – without all the fun, liquid smoothie ending up on the walls.

Smoothies are the best way to sneak in those veggies at any age. Make them taste good with lots of yogurt, peanut butter, or coconut milk. It just takes a little bit of creativity and using what’s in your fridge- kale and strawberries in my case.  Since kale can be a bit chewy when added to a smoothie, be sure to blend it longer with some ice. Elle loves the smoothies; I hope your kids do, too.

Let me know in the comments: what kind of smoothies do you blend up in your Baby Bullet?
